lyrics

i heard my mama
calling me once again
she said dear child
why'd you stop and pretend
i wondered whispered to myself late at night
why do i feel everything inside

When we hear whispers we don't know where they're from
could be the person next to you could be anyone
I hear them calling me and i'm still afraid

oh well, the flowers fell
oh well, the flowers fell
oh well, the flowers fell
oh well, the flowers fell
oh well, the flowers fell

When you hear yourself
its an echo of life
when you can respond to the brain thats inside
when you feel like you're all alone
well my friend i promise
there is a way to find home
yeah my friend i promise you
there is a place called home

oh well, the flowers they fell
oh well, the flowers they fell
oh well, the flowers they fell

what are we gonna do
what are we gonna say
i don't know anything
and that might be okay

what are we gonna do
what are we gonna say
i don't know anything
but that's still okay.

oh well, the flowers they fell
oh well, the flowers they fell

Good Bye.

about

The Black Velvetines Los Angeles, California

The Black Velvetines are an LA based Avant garde-folk duo formed in 2012 by Guitarist/ Drummer Dazie White and Singer/Songwriter Hebert Lucio.
With sounds that are reminiscent of 70's folk and unconventional instruments such as African drum (Djembe), and a multi-functional plastic organ, this duo combines their diverse cultural background to create a more modern take on the California sound.
