Woke up two days ago
to a dream of a girl with a Diamond throat
and she cut off her eyes and she kissed me
like the sky

Cant change that she ain't tamed
and i wish her well, well shes gonna be on her way

Cut the country down in size & i guess afterwards
i realized what its like
to be in Heaven.
Wonderin what the story will tell
when the world does seem to swell up
and explode
it'll turn into pieces of gold
and we'll all
and we'll all
and we'll all, Pray
Yeah we'll all Pray-- ey ey

Heard a noise & a rattle snake
yeah it wrapped up around me as i quivered
and it started to shake, it started to shake.

There goes that dandelion
and so fine and so thirsty like a little sea lion
well lets play, yeah lets play-ey ah.

Heard about it in the afternoon
Heard about it in the afternoon of May
Or was it March, or was it March.

She whispers only at the door
and she sings like a siren
yeah she sings like whore
well for me,
she does it all for me.

Bye bye blackbird
bye bye blackbird
bye bye blackbird

The Black Velvetines Los Angeles, California

The Black Velvetines are an LA based Avant garde-folk duo formed in 2012 by Guitarist/ Drummer Dazie White and Singer/Songwriter Hebert Lucio.
With sounds that are reminiscent of 70's folk and unconventional instruments such as African drum (Djembe), and a multi-functional plastic organ, this duo combines their diverse cultural background to create a more modern take on the California sound.
